FL: Three indicted in dumping scandal

“A grand jury indicted three people involved in a $9 million dumping scandal in Clay County Thursday. The indictments came down against Clay County Commissioner Christy Fitzgerald, former Public Works Director Arthur Ivey along with a third unnamed person. … 51-year-old Ivey has been indicted on 20 counts. They include dumping/littering, official misconduct, grand theft, petit theft, and violating Department of Environmental Protection rules. The items stem back to illegal dumping of materials into various locations. 45-year-old Fitzgerald has been indicted on five counts. Four of them are petit theft. One is official misconduct, which is a felony.” (03/24/06)
