“Whether you do have the conviction to homeschool or you are just beginning to investigate the choice, where do you turn? There is no one right way to homeschool, but the beauty of this choice is that it can meet the needs of each individual child. When I was investigating homeschooling I remember some of the questions I had. Did I need the skills of a college trained teacher? Where would I find resources? How would I deal with the local school authorities? What would the grandparents, friends and other relatives think? Where would I start? A good place to start is to find out what the rights and responsibilities are that accompany homeschooling in your state or country. Once you know that, you can move forward and find the resources that will best meet your family and child(rens) needs.” (07/24/07)
