There is no one right way to homeschool, but the beauty of this choice is that it can meet the needs of each individual child. When I was investigating homeschooling I remember some of the questions I had. Did I need the skills of a college trained teacher? Where would I find resources? How would I deal with the local school authorities? What would the grandparents, friends and other relatives think? Where would I start? A good place to start is to find out what the rights and responsibilities are that accompany homeschooling in your state or country.
