I’m grateful to you for providing such a excellent information for parents. I agree with you on all aspects on information you are suggesting to parents. The one great benefit of providing home schooling to your children is the amount of quality time you are able to spend with them. Your children will realize that you are doing everything possible to ensure happiness for them. Parents who want to get rid of this problem, need to have a glance on child learning which has all the tools of parenting.

i really enjoied reading this. i want to be homeschooled (im in 8th grade) and i have friends that are. its wonderful, or so ive herd. i live in Upper michigan and have to wake up at 5am for school that starts at 7:30 am because i live so far away and it is the nearset school. i really think homeschooling would be a better option!

Bravo! As a homeschool mother I applaud and rejoice in your column. I agree that there are too many lessons in life that can’t be taught by bureaucrats or even well-intentioned teachers. These people have no vested interest in whether our children will grow to be altruistic but rather whether they will become good workers and cogs in the wheel. I am forwarding your column to my local homeschool group, it is wonderful validation of our efforts to genuinely teach our children the real lessons in life.
