“The popular patch version of the pain killer fentanyl is suspected in more than 3,500 deaths, and the FDA has issued a new warning about its use. The fentanyl patch is designed for patients with chronic pain, especially those who have trouble swallowing pills. The patch steadily releases the drug over the course of three days. But the FDA warns that heat and exercise can cause the patch to release the drug at a faster and potentially lethal rate.” [editor’s note: The only people who should be using this item are those in severe, chronic pain; it is deadly to anyone under less serious conditions … and it was designed to be! - SAT] (07/17/08)
