- Among the offerings of Bariatti Software's "Servizi Secessionistici" (= Secessionist Services) website there is this official website of "Padania Liberale e Libertaria" (with a mailing list for their sympathizers named PdnLiberLiber). This now defunct website (we link to an archive in the Internet Archive) for Italian libertarians and anarcho-capitalists features an "about us" section in English, while the rest, fittingly, is in Italian. This group (having successfully taken part in elections with a dozen of elected candidates) also supports self-determination for Northern Italy, known as Padania. Several Italian translations of libertarian writings are available here. It may not be easy for you or possible at all to retrieve all from the archive. Try this link. An example of their outlook: Liberali, e quindi anarchici (= Libertarians, and therefore anarchists). See also their FAQ (with a bibliography). Group connected to the libertarian faction of the Lega Nord. For more about this.

Please do not confuse it with that other, but trilingual (French, German, English), Swiss libertarian website having the same name, and which is a division of ISIL: Pro Libertate is an association for the promotion of libertarian ideas and their rigorous applications to the different fields of economics, law and society. - Free Europe
Source: Hubert Jongen
Country: Belgium/Netherlands
E-mail: info@free-europe.org
- "Now that the communist threat of the Soviet Union has moved to the scrap heaps of history, we Europeans are faced with a new threat to our Liberty. That threat is not coming from a harsh, iron fisted, totalitarian regime, but from what best can be described as 'soft totalitarianism', directed by legions of bureaucrats with their centre of gravity lying in Brussels." "The EU is not heading towards a free, open society, but towards a closed, inward looking fortress, controlled by a bureaucratic elite running amok.""FREE EUROPE and its website were founded by a diverse group of individuals to inform the general public of the consequences of being controlled by a growing Super State. It is not aimed at reforming the EU in a 'better direction' – we feel this is a lost cause – it is aimed at bringing the EU down altogether. If there is ever going to be a 'European Constitution' worth the paper it is written on, its first amendment should read that countries, regions and individuals have 'the right to secede'. FREE EUROPE is not in any way associated with political parties, organizations or companies. We feel the freedom of the individual comes first – a view shared by Classical Liberals, Conservatives and Libertarians alike." The site has a Dutch version, cool stuff to sell and an impressive link list.

As an active member of civil society, the Centre sees itself as part of that grand ambition to create a free, prosperous and peaceful Europe." "Our philosophy goes under many banners: 'European liberal,' 'pro-market,' 'individualist,' 'progressive' and many others. We call ourselves simply 'Liberal.' We find that support for liberal ideas–free trade, social tolerance, economic liberty–extends far beyond Europe's Liberal parties. Therefore, we back no party or programme. We find that liberalism has friends and enemies in every party. We hope to unite its friends and persuade its enemies. The liberal tradition is one of Europe's unique gifts to the world. The liberal tradition stretches back to eighteenth-century France, to the writings of Benjamin Constant and Frédéric Bastiat. It embraces the ideas of such German thinkers as Wilhelm von Humboldt and Friedrich Schiller. It is enriched by the Austrian school of economics – which produced giants like Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich August von Hayek – and by the leaders of the 'Scottish enlightenment,' men like Adam Smith, Adam Ferguson and David Hume." This free-market think tank is organizer of the Capitalist Ball. Site versions in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
