MARSOUND is focused on creating economic development along the US Mexico border. This is being accomplished through a unique blend of innovative journalism, the involvement of regional communities and governmental support. "This is about economic development solving the issues of immigration, drugs and violence", said Ricardo Valenzuela, one of President Calderon's economic advisor during the campaign and one of MARSOUND's founders. "It is about describing the real issues and offering real solutions." Ricardo Valenzuela is scheduled to speak at this year's Freedom Summit (pending final confirmation in the next few days).
