The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced a call for public comments regarding its plans to revise the federal medical privacy rule. HHS and the federal National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS) have been consulting with health care industry leaders to modify Americans' rights to medical privacy. (04/24/02)
