The Ludwig von Mises Institute Europe, which is situated in Leuven-Belgium, has been named after professor Ludwig von Mises, a member of the Austrian School and a teacher of F.A.von Hayek. Von Mises predicted the consequences of Keynesian economics in the Western welfare states: economical crisis, authoritarian regimes and financial debacles. Because Ludwig von Mises was a true defender of economic freedoms and a foe of state intervention, our institute has chosen his name.

     As we have a close relationship with the "liberal web" in the U.S. we would like to strengthen our own activities in Europe with you.
